Found this joke on reader's digest and thought I'd share it.

One day, Lion summoned all the other animals in the jungle.

"Each of you must tell a joke," he said. "But if anyone fails to laugh, I'll kill the person who told it. Monkey, you go first"

Monkey began, "Two men go into a bar ..." When he delivered the punchline, everyone roared with laughter, except Tortoise. Thus, Lion pounced on Monkey and killed him.

Next up was Elephant. He told his joke and, again, everyone laughed except Tortoise. So Lion pounced on Elephant and killed him.

The animals were furious with Tortoise, but nobody dare to move.

Tiger began his joke, but when he was about one sentence in, Tortoise suddenly rolled over and began kicking its feet in the air, giggling his head off.

[I got the joke at this point though the joke wasn't finished yet. If you didn't, carry on reading.]

"What's wrong with you?" roared an irate Lion. "Tiger isn't even finished with his gag yet!"

"I'm sorry," said Tortoise, but Monkey's joke was simply too funny!

[If you still didn't get the joke, it's something to do with the animal and what it's known for]

I'm thinking of switching to wordpress, let's see how things go for the next few days.

[edit] look at what happened after I tried to shut down my computer today

When the alarm rang this morning, I woke up with this really throbbing headache along with a sore throat (just like after a hangover). I decided that I wasn't feeling well enough to make it for the morning walk with the elderly, so I sent an sms to the volunteer leader, took some Panadol and Strepsils lozenges, and continued sleeping all the way until noon.

By then, though I still had the sore throat, my headache subsided :D and we went to the Chevrons for lunch with Joel's family. Rushed back to Bishan afterwards for PW meeting at my house, which wasn't very productive because we wasted the first half hour playing with hamsters and half the remaining time talking crap+watching random videos. But at least we have a headstart for GPP!

Celebrated my brother's birthday at night with this awesome vanilla icecream cake from HD. Although I've said this to you many times today already, here goes:
Happy birthday my dear Yuan Yu! Although you may be the most annoying and irritating brother to have around at times (actually most of the time), your happy-go-lucky attitude, along with the occasional lame joke, maniacal laughter and fail singing, never fails to bring out the joy in anyone no matter how down they are! May your life continue to be as cheery as a sunflower, and I wish you all the best in your studies and health! :D

Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to Yuan Yu~
Happy birthday to you.

I am feeling very bored -----(1)
I have lots of work to do -----(2)
I don't have a lot of time to blog --- (3)

(1)+(2)+(3) = Random stuff time!

I know that many people are stressed out over project work and do not want to think much for PI, so I decided to carry out this little research of mine to find out how many lazy or desperate people out there are.

I'll type the following stuff into my blog and see how many people reach my website after one month. I'll post the results after the deadline

"Ok, it took me a while to compile these sample preliminary idea papers for this year's project work topic which is on amalgamation and alternatives. If you want some ideas for your PI, you can have a look at them. I've uploaded them here. Please do have a look and do not plagarize; they're the result of the hard work of my peers"

"YYEESSSSS MY GPP IS FINALLY FINISHED! SINCE I'M SO HAPPY, I SHALL UPLOAD ITHERE TO SHARE WITH EVERYONE! WOOHOOO"

PLEASE NOTE THAT WHAT I'M TYPING IS NOT REAL. For those who got rickrolled because you did not find any sample PIs or GPPs, good luck with your PW! Hard work pays off ^^

Ok back to work.

I seriously love mugging and doing hw in the SFL with friends and classmates. I tend to focus on my work more and you can always have a little chat when you're bored of work. And because of that, I finished all the work I was planning to do during the weekend without noticing it :D

Look, if you don't want to help yourself, I'm fine with it since it's not my life you're screwing around with anyway. Go ahead and remain pessimistic. What I have left to say is that even though time can heal, being pessimistic all the time will not allow it to.

Whew, what a busy week.

Weird and random stuff's been popping around in my head these days. Take for example, my dream during my sleep last night (which lasted around 3 hours). I shall try to narrate it to the best of my ability, but I think it'll still seem very weird.

Here goes. In the dream, I was lying on my deathbed somewhere in the future. Through the windows of my eyes, I saw that a number of people were crowding around me, talking about stuff I couldn't make out. As I thought my last moments were up, I closed my eyes and everything went black. Suddenly, the darkness turned into light, and I opened my eyes again to find myself gazing at the eyes of two familiar young faces whom I had never seen for a very long time since they passed away. Somehow, after I died, I was reincarnated as a baby and my parents gave birth to me again(I don't know how else to put it, it's just too weird for me to explain). The gaze of their young and loving eyes along with their constant cuddling brought up many thoughts and memories of the moments that my parents and I shared in my previous life; these thoughts overwhelmed my soul and I started crying. And thus I woke up with tears in my eyes.

AHAHA CRAZY dream eh? Maybe all these thoughts arise because of all the stress that's been in my head due to all the tests and assignments. Good thing many of them are gone now!

[edit] I'm running for rcsc exco! good luck to everyone (including myself) who's running!]

Class camp was tiring but awesomez, esp with such a wonderful class such as U :D

Icebreakers in the morning - Egg and chicken game! Walked around and played scissors-paper-stone to make our way up in rank from weeny eggs to almighty gods. Got promoted to a God within a minute by winning all 5 skirmishes (it takes skill, not luck you know). Dora and Denise tried to cheat, but I guess their conscience got the better of them in the end heh. Giant-wizard-dwarf against 3M was epic success, we *zapped* them two times in a row and in the last round, we did a 'nobody nobody but you!' with william leading the class. The last part felt really retarded but I guess it's all good in the haze.

Obstacle wall at midday - The harnesses were torture for us guys. The girls weren't laughing or anything, but I always had this feeling they were secretly finding it amusing seeing us waddle like ducks to prevent the tight straps from crushing our nuts. It's not that funny when you know that your father's day seem to be endangered :( Anyway, the obstacle wall I was climbing consists of a few suspended logs, and above that a 4x4 wooden wall with some holes which were meant for poking sticks in so that we could use them as supports to climb up to the top. Seemed impossible at first (esp with no apparent way of scaling up the wall), but after watching Daniel and Alan coordinating efforts and making it to the top, Dharani and I gave it a try and hey, we made it! Found out that 6U was really sporty as almost everyone conquered the obstacle courses; that's excellent statistics compared to some other classes!

Lunch - Made our own popiah. Li Bing was really enthu abt making popiahs, and she made really nice ones for the class. Tried making a few on my own and turned out to (everything tastes nice to me when I'm hungry omnomnom :O). In the end, quite an amount of the ingredients ended up in the bin because we couldn't finish all of them. When I dumped the leftovers into the bin I thought of all the starving children in the world and felt really guilty :(

1-minute game challenge after lunch - Ervin was fricking funny. There was this game where a few ppl were supposed to rotate a few rounds around a number of canoeing paddles while preventing them from falling. So when some ppl from 3M were doing that, Ervin feigned a sneeze, and someone screwed up and dropped the stick. The funny thing was that in the subsequent times he did that, the same exact thing happened HAHA. 6U completed all the stations within 52 seconds!

Personality tests - The end of the camp was marked by a personality test. Found out that my personality was represented by the dove and owl <(") Our civic's tutor who's obvious a peacock tried to veil himself in a dove's costume, but apparently failed because the class understands him too much :D

Had dinner at Thomson Plaza's pizza hut with 6U afterwards. Compared ez-link cards, celebrated jiang's birthday, took a polaroid as a class and the long day ended.

6U won't be Unique without U, U, U, U... U and U ^^

So today I woke up at 12nn, ate lunch and started to finish up on my math self practice questions. I'm proud to say I did most of the P&C stuff by myself without referring to the answers :D, but nevertheless I still think I'm going to fail the OBA where the books, as everyone expected, didn't help at all.

Went to Dhoby for dinner at justacia with OG, and Ben and I found out that Yi Xin had really short term memory, because only 2 months passed since the OG last went there and she already needed Ben for directions. And oh, KIA WEI I DO NOT STALK YOU ON FACEBOOK! YOUR STATUS UPDATES JUST APPEARED IN THE NEWS FEED, for goodness sake.

Proceeded to watch Clash of the Titans at Cathay, and I thought it had a mediocre plot - partly because I read the book, though the special effects were really realistic and cool (might be better in 3D, but people told me the 3D effects weren't worth the money). Sam Worthington appeared as the main actor again (after avatar), and I think he's a pretty good actor.

And oh, this MV is damn cooool.

I think that SS501 has the best vocals amongst all the kpop male bands! Their choreography is pretty flashy too :) Please maximise to view.

Went to Alan's house for 11S06U class gathering in the morning and found out that Rebecca was a hidden mahjong pundit. Out of the 20+ rounds we played in the 2 hours, she won all the rounds except for the 2 which Ervin and I won. Luckily we didn't agree to bet with real money, if not I would be leaving Alan's house penniless (I heard from Ervin that she continued the streak after I left).

Attended NIC awards ceremony afterwards. Daniel Ong was the host (yay i finally got to meet him in person), and he was trying very hard to get the atmosphere up and going, especially with so many RI skeptics there. Though he was really humorous at times, I disliked the way he suanned the other schools (particularly targeted at HCI who got the 2nd places) by stressing on how RI's sweeping away all the championship titles. The food catered there didn't turn out to be as nice as what the com science club was telling me, except for the my favorite choc eclairs, but then they got swept away within 5 minutes so I only ate 3 of them :( Anyways, congratulations to RI for clinching the champion positions for the sec/JC categories (breaking HCI's 3 year streak), and also to Vincent who got first place in the photography contest!

Here's a video for the occasion :)
