Dad was superbly kind today (THANKS DAD :D). He woke up early to drive me to Bukit Batok MRT for my foster parents' workshop at MCYC HQ! If he didn't volunteer to drive me there, I would have to wake up at 6 instead to make my way there via MRT.
There was this group of exchange students from China who also came to volunteer, and one of them had REALLY whitish skin. After I pointed that out to Minjian (who also had whitish skin), the joker simply just WENT forward and compared skin tones with her. The verdict: Minjian's skin was slightly darker. The defeated look on his face afterwards suggested a crushed ego.
After registration taking for the programme, I sat at the reception and helped to take temperatures for the children who were coming into the centre for tuition. I got sian when nobody came in for a period of time, so I went to have a peek at the foster children who were engaged in games with the other volunteers. When I returned, there was this boy stoning near the reception, and I thought that he was waiting for somebody so I didn't really care much abt him. After 10+ minutes, he was still stoning there, so I went to have a look and saw that he was agitatedly looking at his watch and weeping silently. After consultation with his tuition teacher, it turned out that he was actually waiting for someone (me) to take his temperature, but the thing was he was autistic and didn't dare to approach me for temp taking. He didn't dare to go into class without his temperature being taken, so he started crying when he realised that he was late for his class. Because of this, now I understand why children with autism really need the attention and care of their parents and caregivers; they must be able to understand and provide for their needs without much need for communication, and they also play a key part in stimulating the autistic children to communicate because they are the people the autistic children are most comfortable with.
After CIP, Tingwei, Wei Chuan and I went to Daryl Tiong's house to design stickers and posters for TW's council campaign. Daryl was quite ownage in photoshop and the poster he designed was really nice (I think there's a copy on fb)!
And if you're reading this, PLEASE VOTE FOR TING WEI FOR 30TH SC! You won't regret your choice if you did, and if you know him personally, you'll realize that this is very true! Also vote for the following people if you still have votes to spare: Ben Goh, Zheng Xi, Dharani, Guolin, Yun Shu and Li Bing!
(P.S. Was counting stars a few moments ago. My initial count was 4, but then many more just started popping up randomly and the final count became 11. I know this has to do with eye accommodation for dim light, but doesn't it still seem so magical?)

Somebody cried today because he didn't get past the interview stage for student council.
That person was me :(
I'm kidding about the crying part though. However, some guy (whom I know was trying to run for council) broke down after found out that he didn't make it past the interview stage for council today. He must have really wanted to get into council, but seriously, why should he, or anybody else, cry over this? I would have understood if it was the campaigning stage he didn't make it through, but crying just because you didn't pass the interview stage is a little too overrated for me.
True, SC is an excellent CCA that gives you a platform for contributing to the school, building up your portfolio, making new friends, having fun and many more, but then this is just one of the ways you can do this; there are many more opportunities in RIJC where you can achieve the above. Even if you don't manage to get into council, we can still give a try for CCA exco, house commz! Getting into any of these are equally good! So, get a grip dude, the world isn't over yet. Let's try harder for exco and house commz!
School matters aside, I harvested chillis from my chilli plant today!

Sunday was an eventful end to the March hols! Woke up early to make way towards Radin Mas CC for mural painting! SGCares had originally planned for us to transform the Respect Wall at the YOG headquarters, but because the YOG committee didn't approve of the mural designs yet, we couldn't do so and alternatively moved to Radin Mas CC to paint a wall on the second floor. Some photos before my phone battery died.

Met up for OG outing afterwards! The OG planned to kbox, but because we found out that the kbox quarters were under renovation, we decided to watch the sneak preview for How to Train Your Dragon in 3D! I felt that the movie had an O.K. plot (compared to the many Pixar movies I watched), but then the 3D graphics made it really awesome! The dragons (especially Toothless) were really cute and the parts where Hiccup (the main char) rode Toothless were quite exhilarating too. Nearing the end of the show, some kid was heard to be commenting 'Oh, so he's called Hiccup' and we took quite a while to control our laughter. After the movie finished screening, as we were leaving the theatre, there was this person holding this bin for us to dump rubbish in, but then I thought he was collecting the 3D glasses and I almost threw $190 into the bin.
We went to the arcade for a few games afterwards, and found out that kiawei really had a flair for arcade games. He owned us in almost everything, esp in paraparaparadise where he singlehandedly (or doubleleggedly) beat the 4 of us who were responsible for a direction button each. I tried SF4 on an arcade machine for the first time but then I wasn't very used to the joystick and got pwned by some other guy.
Dinner at crystal jade and MOF was quite nice, but then I had a budget and only could kope bits from the rest at MOF... The desserts were really heavenly mmmm.. Went home at around 10pm and made the mistake of drinking coffee, which made me restless until 1am.
Anyway, school ended early today because chem was postponed to Friday. Chem lecture test tmr and I hope I've prepared enough for it. Good luck to everyone for the test!

Changed blogskin!
Had a lot of fun with S06U at Palawan beach today! What we did in a breath: frisbee.captain's ball.(fail) dunking of William into water.drawing '11S06U' and pikachus on sand.more splashing around in waters.swimming to and wasting time at southernmost point of continental asia.
After showering, we had lunch at kopitiam. Some of us wanted to watch a movie after the lunch, but then afterwards we decided not to and stoned at the area outside the monorail ticketing area for a few rounds of donkey whilst munching chips which were originally meant for the movie. Took a taxi back home with sunburns and itches all over my body.
It's the end of Friday already. I hate how the holidays seem to pass so fast, but t'was a good day today, looking forward to a better tomorrow~

Went for a facial today and it was VERY PAINFUL because I had countless blackheads on my face and the aunty squeezed out almost all of them. My face is now red and full of swellings, but then all the blackheads and pimples on it are gone! :D
Besides the facial, nothing eventful happened today other than mugging and piano lesson >.> Looking forward to class outing tmr! <3 11s06u.

I'm deciding to blog again! My reasons for doing so:
Reason 1:
I want to improve my (failing) English language for GP which comes in less than 2 years' time. Writing will help me improve my writing skills (haha captain obvious), and since I don't really like to write essays, I think blogging is the next best alternative!
Reason 2:
I'd rather do something more productive other than slacking in my free time.
Reason 3:
Isn't it cool to have a blog? :D
Anyway, swimming at Jurong+lunch+movie at shaw lido with Tingwei and Chum today! Swimming (not really swimming when you're lazing around in the lazy river and bobbing up and down in the wave pool) was fun as always, however we were constantly talking about and reminding ourselves of the awesome december hols where rollgang went out almost every day... gah, the nostalgia is killing me!
Alice in Wonderland was awesome, especially in 3D! I felt that the movie was a very nice graphic interpretation of the novel! But as always, I couldn't make out some stuff the characters were trying to say, so I had to force myself to laugh along with the rest whenever I missed out something funny. I supposed this happens to everyone, but can't the film directors do something about making the voices more articulate?
Gah, I miss 4J! Looking forward to the next class gathering. Meanwhile let's focus on my studies, and good luck to myself for SC!
